Todo Mexico

Had a great view of the Snohomish river from its dining area. I felt my margarita extremely sour and asked them to modify it. Free salsa and chips were amazing. We got the veggie burrito, cactus salad and enchiladas. We asked for fried jalapeño’s and it added so much to the dish. Really enjoyed the cactus salad and burrito. It’s a very economical restaurant and servings were good at the price point. They have some good dessert options too. We got the upside down pineapple cake, which all of us liked. Only negative is the server seemed to be in some kind of rush, they were only 3 tables occupied.

Went for lunch and was seated immediately and had a view of the snohomish river. The restaurant was at 30% capacity. Had shredded beef burrito. Wife had fish tacos. The burrito plate was average. The rice was OK and beans not so much. The chips and salsa was just fair as the chips were overcooked. I tasted the grilled fish taco and noted that it tasted very fishy. Not good. I will say that staff was courteous, fast and attentive. The pricing is above market average. The bathroom was dirty. Parking for this place is almost nonexistent.

My friend and I came to Todo Mexico while I was visiting from AZ. The menu seemed like your typical Mexican food restaurant however dishes that I would normally pay $15-$18 dollars for were priced anywhere from $19-$33. I figured the increase was due to Snohomish being a touristy town but as long as we were getting typical Mexican fare, than whatever…I’m on vacation! I ordered the Carnitas platter for $20. The menu states it’s traditional Carnitas with onions and peppers. Comes with beans and rice and tortillas. My friend ordered the Carne Asada plate which comes the same way minus the onions and peppers. It took a VERY long time before our food arrived and when it did the portion sizes were laughable for the amount they are charging. My carnitas were probably 80% onions and peppers! The flavor of the meat was good except I’ve always known Carnitas to have somewhat crispy edges and this did not. The beans on the side were very thin and didn’t have cheese on top. The rice was nothing special. I’ve never left a Mexican restaurant without having leftovers…ever!! We left feeling like Todo Mexico is solely relying on tourists who don’t know better to sustain them and don’t care about the quality of service or food they provide.

Food overall was pretty good. Favorite part was there fresh tortilla chips. My husband meal temperature was hot. My food temperature was at room temperature. Which I was disappointed about. The taste was good though. Did send the food back because they were busy and it took long time to get food and I was very hungry. The staff was supper friendly. Kids order Burger and chicken nuggets which tasted like frozen. Not made fresh there. Which I think they have on the menu for convince I understand that. Since it is Mexican restaurant. View from our window was nice as well.

We've been coming here since it opened and haven't been in a while so we thought we'd go this afternoon. I always order the Carne Asada burrito and its always been great. Today on our first visit back in a while it was clearly evident, something has changed. My burrito was over cooked and not the same, had no cojetta cheese and I recieved a dallop of guacamole about the size of my fork. My wife ordered camarone's mojo de ajo and recieved 4 or 5 shrimp, her beans were spread out to look like a good portion and the rice was dry. We were very disappointed as this used to be a favorite of ours! Not any more! It's sad what businesses have turne into these days! Chips and Salsa should always be inclusive at no extra charge for customers ordering a meal. Don't know that we'll be back.
